The International «Qazaq Tili» Society is the largest public association consolidating initiatives aimed at supporting and developing the Kazakh language. The organization brings together experts, public figures, educators, scholars, and all those who care about the future of the state language.
The Kazakh language is a fundamental pillar of national unity, cultural identity, and the country’s sustainable future.
Our mission is to promote the development of the Kazakh language at the national level and its recognition on the international stage; to present it to young people in a modern and appealing way; to expand its use in science and technology; and to contribute to the full implementation of its status as the state language.
On January 25th, the official presentation of the Kazakh-English and English-Kazakh Oxford Qazaq Dictionary took place at the Oxford University Press building in Oxford. The event was attended by notable individuals, including Sayasat Nurbek, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Magzhan Ilyasov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland; Timur Turlov, CEO at Freedom Holding Corp., accompanied by his wife, Rauan Kenzhehanuly, Founder & CEO at BMG, Chairman at International Society «Qazaq Tili», Saskia Brueske, Language Data Commissioning Manager, Oxford University Press and Michael James German, the Lord German, Dr. Alexander Morrison, Professor of Oxford University, Dr. Ariel Ahearn, Departmental Lecturer in Human Geography, University of Oxford, Olga Mun, Doctoral Researcher, Department of Education, University of Oxford.
